Bolga Baskets

I discovered Bolga Baskets several years ago while visiting Portland, Oregon.  It was love at first sight! Bolga baskets can be used when shopping for produce at your favorite market, storing your produce in the kitchen, stacking magazines or throws, piling craft items.....endless uses....what's your favorite?

Bolga Baskets are one-of-a-kind, hand woven works of art created in West Africa in Bolgatanga, Ghana and purchased through Fair Trade regulations. For many villagers these baskets are their main source of income. The baskets and fans are woven with elephant grass and the handles are made of goat skin. To reshape your basket simply run warm water over the basket and it will become very pliable.

Our Bolga baskets and fans are available at Under One Roof, located on the Square in Wimberley, Texas.  You can also find them at Market Days at booth P-2.
